Keep cold thumbs warm without bulky gloves.

Aurora Thumb Warmers are made from soft wild beaver fur and designed to slip into the thumb of your mittens or gloves. Simply fold one over each thumb and slide your hand in.

The leather backing helps keep the warmer in place, so in many mittens it stays put when you remove your hand — ready for your thumb when you put it back in.

Small, lightweight and reusable, Thumb Warmers are also useful for individual fingers that tend to get especially cold.

$1 from every product purchased supports on-the-land initiatives for Indigenous youth, educators, and knowledge holders.

Material

Sheared wild beaver fur has exceptionally dense, silky-soft underfur that naturally traps warm air close to the body.

Beaver fur evolved to protect beavers in cold northern water and is breathable, durable and naturally insulating. We shear the fur to an optimal height for comfortable use inside mittens and gloves.

Usage

Fold the Thumb Warmer over the tip of your thumb with the fur against your skin, then guide your thumb into your mitten or glove.

The leather backing provides natural grip to help keep it in place.

Aurora Heat does not generate heat. The dense beaver fur helps hold your own body warmth close, creating comfortable, passive insulation without batteries or chemicals.

Thumb Warmers can also be used on individual fingers inside gloves.

Size & Thickness

Small: 1 × 4.75 inches
Large: 1.5 × 5.75 inches

Choose your thickness based on the fit of your mittens or gloves:

Slim — best for tighter-fitting gloves and mittens.
Regular — our standard thickness and a good choice for most people.
Thick — maximum loft and warmth for roomier mittens or gloves.

Care

Remove your Thumb Warmers occasionally and allow them to air out flat. Give the fur a gentle shake or rub to restore its loft.

If they become damp, shake off excess moisture, gently reshape the leather and allow them to air dry naturally on a flat surface.

Avoid direct heat and contact with lotions, oils and perfumes.

For a deeper clean, use our Natural Fur Cleaner, designed specifically for Aurora Heat fur products.
