Key Responsibilities
The role of Aurora Heat’s Digital Marketing Intern is diverse and challenging, leveraging your many budding talents! In addition to coordinating and supporting the execution of marketing initiatives on a tactical level, you will be mentored by an experienced marketing strategist to drive our social and sustainability goals forward.
SEO Content Writing

Write, edit and publish SEO content articles at auroraheat.ca that drive relevant traffic and convert new customers

Monitor, evaluate and report on article traffic, keyword ranking improvement and referral sales
Social Media Marketing

Support in the creation of new content (including original text, images and video) that builds meaningful customer connections, increases brand awareness and encourages community members to engage with the brand

Support in the execution of targeted marketing campaigns, such as customer testimonial videos and community engagement strategies
Affiliate Marketing

Support in the planning, launch and maintenance of Aurora Heat’s Affiliate Marketing Program

Liaise with new and existing Affiliate Marketers to support their content and branding needs in alignment with Aurora Heat’s brand standards

Coordinate shipping of product samples to prospective and signed affiliate marketers

Monitor and report on affiliate marketing sales
Email Marketing/Marketing Automation

Support in the creation of email nurture campaigns using email marketing automation in Klaviyo

Support writing and editing email nurture campaigns in Klaviyo

Cleaning and maintaining customer/prospect lists in Klayvio
-
Report on email marketing campaign performance and activities
Qualifications & Experience
-
Passion for sustainability, the environment and reconciliation
-
A degree or diploma from an accredited institution in marketing, business administration or communications is desired

Minimum of 1 year of marketing-related co-op or volunteer experience

Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Strong organization skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines

Excellent writing skills are a must
-
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and the Google for Business (Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides)

Experience or understanding of content management systems, marketing automation systems and email marketing systems is a plus

SEO/SEM experience or understanding

Experience or understanding of eCommerce platforms like Shopify

Experience or understanding of tactics to drive website traffic with Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest and social media scheduling tools

If lacking experience, a strong desire to learn and a track record of learning new technologies will be considered!
Internship Details

Flexible 30-35 hours per week

Pay: $25 - 28/hour dependent on experience

6-month internship from June - December, with the opportunity to extend
