What is the size difference between slim, regular, and thick foot warmers?

The difference lies in the thickness , which refers to the density of the fur and the heaviness of the leather. All of our foot warmers provide excellent warmth, and we offer three options to accommodate different footwear: Slim: Designed for snug-fitting footwear like ski boots, skates, and tighter shoes, offering warmth without taking up extra space. Regular: A balanced option between Slim and Thick, ideal for comfortably fitting footwear. Thick: Provides the highest level of warmth , with a slightly denser fur and leather construction. They require a bit more room but remain comfortable in most footwear.

Material

Sheared beaver fur is dense, silky-soft underfur, sheared to an optimal height. It is winter-quality, breathable, and odour resistant, composed of 10,000 fur filaments per square inch. This insulation layer is what enables beavers to keep warm while going in and out of freezing water in Northern Canada.

Usage

The ultra warmers fit on top of your feet and wrap around your toes. Place the fur side next to your skin on TOP of your toes inside snug-fitting socks. Socks with a wool blend work well as they have both stretch and something for the leather side to grip. The extra length is there to fold the top of the warmer over and under your toes.

A couple of tips are to place the warmer, fur to skin, half on top of your toes and half under your foot (over the top). Inch your snug-fitting sock, starting with the toes (your sock will be bunched up in your hand as you slowly cover your foot). Once you have your sock up past the end of the warmer and the toe section is snug, then you pull on the warmer so the top of the warmer is around your toes. Then step on the floor with your toes to hold it in place, slowly pulling your socks up fully. Use your fingers to position them comfortably.

Your body heat is stored within the fur and circulated back to your feet. This passive warming system does an incredible job of holding a comfortable temperature and will keep you warm but not too hot.

Care

Remove your Foot Warmers from your socks after each use and lie flat. Shake and give a little rub to fluff up. If the fur gets damp, shake out the excess moisture, gently reshape the leather, and leave out to air dry on a flat surface. Avoid getting wet. Prevent contact with direct heat and lotions, perfumes, etc.

The Ultra Foot Warmers offer enhanced warmth and coverage compared to our standard Foot Warmers. Designed for those who need extra warmth—the Ultra Foot Warmers are longer and offer more surface area, fully covering the top of your foot and toes.

We recommend the slim variation of Foot Warmers for ski boots and other tight fitting footwear. For those with very form fitting ski boots, a tight pair of merino wool socks will help the warmer stay in place for a comfortable fit.

Our Foot Warmers and Ultra Foot Warmers are designed to stay in place inside most footwear, including cross-country ski boots. The natural grippy texture of the leather helps prevent slipping, and the warmth from your feet allows the foot warmers to mold slightly to the shape of your foot over time. We recommend a tight pair of merino wool socks to keep the warmer in place. While some shifting may occur, users find the warmth remains consistent.

For tight fitting cycling shoes, we recommend the slim thickness. If you have some room in your cycling shoes, the regular thickness will also be a comfortable fit.
